About Emme Ever After

A Blog by Emme Chatterton

Welcome to my personal blog where I share moments from my life’s journey in pursuit of a fairytale Happily Ever After. As an author, photographer, and editor extraordinaire I love sharing my stories, memories, art, and recommendations on creating a beautiful life well-lived. I have been keeping online journals, creating websites, and blogging for over 20 years and my goal is to round up and republish the majority of my old posts, photographs, and archives here on Emme Ever After.

This blog is a dedicated tribute to my four amazing children, I hope that in the days and years to come they will be able to look back on this project and enjoy the photos and memories I curated and be reminded of the happy and fun times we shared together. Most of all I hope as they browse through these collected moments that they know how deeply loved and cherished they were and are still, and how special each of them makes every day of my life – this small gift is to them for the many years of joy and contentment that I could never hope to repay.

Largely, I write here about daily life as a creative mom of four littles and two Siamese cats who loves to travel the world and seek adventures wherever we are planted – which once included moving house 5 and a half times 3 years – 2 and a half while pregnant with my youngest. As a family we have so far enjoyed living near Boston, beside the ocean in rural Kennebunkport and then in suburban Portland, Maine – before returning to Boston where we lived in a hotel suite for a time (that’s the half) and then in a small suburban neighborhood for a few months. Finally we ended up at the place I spent my family summers – the scenic North Fork of Long Island, New York.

I’ve also added Photography sections if you would like to learn more about my professional and creative work in that area. You can browse through my art and prints that are for sale in a variety of sizes and formats, or view my photography portfolio which has details about working with me for portraits, weddings, events, or social media content.

About Me

I enjoy writing, art, photography, videography, researching social media and business trends, covering historical and political issues, Instagram, Pinterest, watching vlogs, and baking – all of which conveniently fall under the all-inclusive mantle of Editor in Chief of Social Duchess, a magazine about the luxury and philanthropy of social influencers.

I help run an art gallery and artists collective called Old Lantern Lane and through there I offer bespoke event, portrait, and editorial photography as well as sell art and photographic prints.

If you want to learn more about my work or my writing you can head over to the Social Duchess for my author biography. In my free time I am attempting to clean and restore our 300 year old family homestead that is filled with barely salvageable antiques and historical documents – while living in it.

What I Do

I love staying on the cutting edge of current events, design, decor, fashion, beauty, and skincare and you can browse my favorite products of all time in my frequently updated Amazon shop , which contains the best products I’ve tested, bought and used or been personally recommended by sources I trust.

You can also browse through the current articles on Social Duchess, many of which feature the latest and most coveted trends in these areas, or my exhaustive Pinterest which includes tens of thousands of hand-curated pins of the most beautiful fashion, home, and design content on the internet that I have collected over two decades of blogging.

Life with four kids can be hectic and crazy but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world – even more time to work on my social media businesses or my writing. The happiest and most meaningful moments of my life have been the quiet special times with my family, and they fly by much too fast to waste on regrets or what-ifs. I have unpublished works galore, but they can keep… and we all know that babies won’t.
